Steel pipe maker PSL bags Rs 565 cr contract

Steel pipe manufacturer PSL today said it has won contracts worth Rs 565 crore including an order from IOC for supply of pipes to Paradip-Raipur-Ranchi project.

"The new orders include an order worth approximately Rs 200 crore from Indian Oil Corporation for supply of ...Pipes of approx 400 km length for its prestigious Paradip-Raipur-Ranchi Pipeline project," the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The Rs 565 crore orders are for supply of about 1.19 lakh tonnes of pipes, it said.

"...IOC, GAIL, Lanco Industries, Saipem etc having preferred these locations have reposed their confidence in the company resulting into bagging of these orders by our company for supply of pipes aggregating to approximately 119,000 tonnes," the statement said.

 

The company has its manufacturing plants at various locations including Varsana and Mahaudi in Gujarat, Vizag in Andhra Pradesh, Jaipur in Rajasthan and Chennai in Tamil Nadu.

With a production capacity of over 1 million tonnes, PSL is one of the country's leading producer/manufacturer of HSAW (helical submerged arc welded) pipes.

HSAW pipes are pipes formed by conversion on hot rolled coils which are subsequently welded internally and externally.
