Sterlite Industries has raised over Rs 7,000 crore through the issue of American depository shares (ADS), the largest by any Indian company.

The company, a part of the Anil Agarwal-controlled Vedanta Group, priced the issue at $13.44 (Rs 537.60) and allotted 130.40 million shares. These equity shares in the form of ADS represent approximately 18.9% interest in Sterlite, post-offering.
