Sterlite Energy IPO soon: Agarwal

Sterlite Energy, a subsidiary of Sterlite Industries and a group company of  Vedanta Resources, will make an initial public offering (IPO) soon to fund 10,000 Mw commercial energy production plants in Orissa and Chattisgarh.

The company is planning to invest up to $8.5 billion in power production in India over the next five years, Anil Agarwal, chairman, Vedanta Resources, said in Mumbai today.
