Sterlite Q4 net dips 27% to Rs 1,987 cr

Net sales up 7.6% at Rs 10,763 cr, declares Rs 2 dividend/share

Sterlite Industries reported a 27.25% decline in its consolidated net profit at Rs 1,987 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2012.

The company had a net profit of Rs 2,730 crore in the same period last fiscal, Sterlite said in the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) release.

Net sales of the company up 7.6% at Rs 10,763 crore in the quarter under review as compared to Rs 10,000 crore.

The company announced the highest ever dividend at Rs 2 per share for FY12, including an interin dividend of Re 1 per share today.
