Strides Arcolab gets USFDA nod for oral drugs

Drug maker Strides Arcolab today said it has received US regulatory approval for manufacturing drugs for the US markets.

In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange the company said it has received US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) approval for manufacturing oral products for that country.

The company would manufacture the products from its Bangalore site.

"The continued FDA approval of the facility is a milestone for the company's US strategy and it will support important product approvals and introductions," Strides CEO (India Operations) Venkat Iyer said.

Shares of the company closed today at Rs 168.80, down 3.38 per cent on the BSE.
