The two-week-long strike at Mahindra & Mahindra's engine producing unit at Igatpuri, Maharashtra is likely to be called off tomorrow.

Sources said that the two suspended workers from the union have been reinstated after letters of apology were submitted by them.

The plant, which saw a disruption of production for two weeks, saw participation of 1,600 striking workers.

When contacted, the company refused to comment on the matter.

Production is thus expected to run to full strength from tomorrow but sources add that it will take a few days for output to return to its earlier normal levels.

The Igatpuri plant produces engines for Xylo, Scorpio, XUV500, Bolero among other products. The company has lost about 10,000 units in production since the strike began.
