Jindal Strips, a constituent of Jindal group, proposes to set up a Rs 5,000 crore stainless steel plant at Duburi in Orissa.
With an installed capacity of 1.8 million tonne per annum, the proposed venture will be the largest stainless steel unit in the country and among the top five in the world.
The company board has recently given its nod to the project and the company has applied to Infrastructure Development Corporation of Orissa (IDCO) for acquisition of land at the site.
