Subex Azure bags contract from mobile operator

Telecom products company Subex Azure has won a contract for providing fraud management and revenue assurance solutions to MCEL, the largest GSM operator in Mozambique.
 
MCEL offers voice and GPRS/EDGE services and presently has a growing customer base of around 2 million subscribers. As the company continues to grow and looks to roll out 3G services in the third quarter of 2007, it wanted to implement effective fraud management and revenue assurance systems.
 
Subex Azure was chosen to deploy its Nikira Fraud Management System and Moneta Revenue Assurance System, according to a release.
 
Moneta is a suite of automated revenue assurance tools and capabilities. Subash Menon, managing director & CEO of the company said: "This deal strengthens Subex Azure's position of being the fraud management and revenue assurance vendor of choice in the African telecommunications market."
