Sumitomo proposes to set up integrated Utility Centre at Vizag

Japan's Sumitomo Corporation today submitted a proposal to the Andhra Pradesh government for establishing an integrated Utility Centre at Andhra Pradesh Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) near Visakhapatnam.

A Sumitomo delegation, led by its Managing Executive Officer Kohei Hirao met Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy here today and discussed its business plans.

Sumitomo Corporation is one of Japan's leading business firms, continuously expanding into a diverse range of products and services.

The Chief Minister directed officials of the state Industries Department to work out relevant details before signing a memorandum of understanding with the foreign company, as per a statement from Chief Minister's Office.
 

Major Industries Minister J Geeta Reddy, Chief Secretary Minnie Mathew, Industries Principal Secretary K Pradeep Chandra and other top officials of the state government were present during the discussion.
