Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company (SPARC) today posted a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 8.82 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2010.
The company had a net loss of Rs 7.49 crore in the corresponding period of last fiscal, SPARC said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Total income of the company stood at Rs 25.97 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, while the same was Rs 6.07 crore in the same period of previous fiscal.
For the six months ended September 30, 2010, the company reported a PAT of Rs 9.30 crore, while it had a net loss of Rs 19.16 crore in the same period of previous fiscal.
The company's total income for the first six months of current fiscal ended September 30, 2010, stood at Rs 41.07 crore, while the same was Rs 8.84 crore in the same period last fiscal.
Shares of Sun Pharma Advanced Research were trading at Rs 96.45 per piece on the Bombay Stock Exchange in the late afternoon trade, up 4.05 per cent from its previous close.
