Drug major Sun Pharma today posted a consolidated net profit (after minority interest) of Rs 503.65 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2010.
The company had a net profit of Rs 453.81 crore in the same period previous fiscal, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries said in a statement.
As the company's current quarter results include the results of Israeli-firm Taro and its subsidiaries, the results of the latest quarter are not comparable to that of the corresponding period previous fiscal.
The total income of the company stood at Rs 1,370.07 crore for the second quarter ended September 30.
During the same period last fiscal its total income was Rs 1,185.17 crore.
For the six-month period ended September 30, the company reported a net profit of Rs 1,067.97 crore. It had a net profit of Rs 617.65 crore in the same period previous fiscal.
The company's total income for six months ended September 30, stood at Rs 2,769.77 crore, while the same was Rs 1,972.76 crore in the same period last fiscal.
