Sun Pharma Q3 net soars threefold to Rs 1,417 cr

India's largest drugmaker Sun Pharmaceutical Industries today posted over threefold jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 1,416.60 crore for the third quarter ended December 31.

The drug major had posted a net profit of Rs 395.33 crore during the same period of previous fiscal.

Net sales of the company rose to Rs 7,046.57 crore for the third quarter as against Rs 6,885.46 crore in the same period of previous fiscal, Sun Pharma said in a regulatory filing, a 2.3% increase.

Shares of the company ended 1.57 per cent up at Rs 844 on BSE.
