Sunanda Pushkar, a close friend of Union Minister Shashi Tharoor, is currently busy with raising finances for Kochi IPL team for its success after having resigned from state owned investment company, Tecom in January.
An associate of Sunanda, who is getting 'sweat equity' worth about Rs 70 crore in Kochi IPL team, for which a consortium led by Rendezvous Sports World had made a successful bid of over Rs 1,532 crore, said she had quit Tecom in January, contrary to the reports that she resigned in March, just a week before the bidding.
After the successful bid for the team, she is now busy raising finances for the consortium, associate said claiming that she has already raised substantial amount.
Earlier, there were reports quoting a spokesperson of Tecom, a state owned investment company that is pumping in money in projects ranging from infrastructure to hospitality, that Sunanda had ceased to be on the rolls after March 15.
