Sundaram Brake net dips 15%
 
Sundaram Brake Linings recorded net profit of Rs 2.22 crore in the quarter ended December 2005, down by 14.6 per cent over Rs 2.60 crore recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year.
 
The company's board has declared an interim dividend of 50 per cent on shares of a face value of Rs 10 each. Net sales stood at Rs 34.22 crore (Rs 33.19 crore), higher by 3.10 per cent in relation to last year.
 
For the nine month period ended December 2005, the company's net profit was Rs 7.20 crore (Rs 7.95 crore), down by 9.43 per cent. Net sales stood at Rs 106.07 crore (Rs 100.45 crore), higher by 5.59 per cent.
 
Rane (Madras) net up 112%
 
Rane (Madras) recorded net profit of Rs 2.83 crore for the quarter ended December 2005, higher by 111.19 per cent over Rs 1.34 crore recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year.
 
The company's board has declared an interim dividend of 15 per cent on shares of a face value of Rs 10 each. Net sales stood at Rs 72.57 crore (Rs 63.78 crore), higher by 13.78 per cent in relation to last year.
 
For the nine month period ended December 2005, the company's net profit was Rs 6.07 crore and net sales was Rs 204 crore.
 
UCO Bank net up 103%
 
UCO Bank has posted 103.08 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 112.51 crore for the third quarter ended December 2005 against last year's corresponding figure of Rs 55.40 crore.
 
Operating profit stood at Rs 201.42 crore as compared with the corresponding figure of Rs 276.92 crore recorded last year. Total income stood at Rs 1,241.32 crore, 19.81 per cent higher than last year's corresponding figure of Rs 1,036 crore.
 
Net NPA declined by 66 basis point to 2.32 per cent per cent compared with last year's corresponding figure of 2.98 per cent. Gross NPA declined to 3.69 per cent from last year's 5.25 per cent.
 
Nava Bharat net dips 82%
 
Nava Bharat Ferro Alloys reported 82.24 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 4.06 crore for the quarter ended December 2005, as compared with Rs 22.87 crore registered during the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
 
Total income increased by 8.09 per cent to Rs 113.10 crore from Rs 104.63 crore in the year-ago period.
