The cable and satellite homes in Mumbai and New Delhi have supported the introduction of conditional access system (CAS).

This is the finding of a syndicated study by ORG-Marg on the preferences and perceptions of consumers towards the proposed conditional access system and their choice of television channels resulting from it.

The study also captured consumer price sensitivity towards the cost of a set top box as well as the cost of direct access to channels.

With an overwhelming majority of consumers aware of the proposed system almost 76 per cent of consumers in Mumbai and Delhi feel that the bill is in their favour.

More Mumbai-ites around 85 per cent seem in favour of CAS than Delhi-ites where there were only 68 per cent in favour of CAS.
