Suven Life, Sundram Fasteners & Kansai Nerolac Q3 results

Suven Life net down 47.51% Hyderabad-based biopharmaceutical company Suven Life Sciences registered a 47.51 per cent decline in net profit for the quarter ended December 31, 2007, to Rs 2.01 crore, as compared with Rs 3.83 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year, under the impact of rupee appreciation.
 
Total income for the quarter under review was down 10 per cent to Rs 28.98 crore from Rs 32.25 crore in the corresponding previous quarter.
 
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at 17 paise, as compared with Rs 1.51 per share in the corresponding quarter previous year. .
 
Sundram Fasteners net dips 14%
 
Leading auto component maker Sundram Fasteners reported 14 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 18.04 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 when compared with Rs 20.94 crore during same period in the previous fiscal, on the back of slowdown in the market, lower export realisations and and rise in input costs.
 
Net profit of Rs 18.04 crore for the third quarter was lower by 12 per cent when compared with second quarter's figure of Rs 20.46 crore and 29 per cent when compared with first quarter's profit of Rs 25.55 crore
 
Kansai Nerolac net rises 17%
 
Kansai Nerolac, India's second largest paint company, has registered 17.1 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 30.24 crore for the quarter ended 31 December 2007 as compared to Rs 25.82 crore during the corresponding quarter the previous year.
 
The company's net sales during the quarter ended 31 December 2007 increased by 7.1 per cent to Rs 345.39 crore as against Rs 322.56 crore for the third quarter of the last financial year.
