Suz bags Myanmar gas line DFR job

GAIL (India) Limited has commissioned SUZ Tractebel of Brussels (Belgium) as technical consultant to carry out study for preparing the detailed feasibility report (DFR), the environment management plan (EMP) and rapid risk analysis (RRA) study report for the Myanmar"�India pipeline project via North-East India.
 
SUZ Tractebel was an international consultant which has executed several pre-feasibility and feasibility studies on transnational pipelines for oil and natural gas.
 
The proposed pipeline will run through the states of Mizoram, Assam, West Bengal and Bihar.
 
The pipeline will transport gas from developing gas fields in Tripura and Assam as well.
 
The Myanmar gas will be injected at Gaya in the proposed Jagdishpur-Haldia pipeline.
 
The basic contents of feasibility study included route selection, design parameters, system reliability, redundancy, safety, security, hydraulics, sizing, cost estimation, sensitivity analysis, risk analysis and mitigation measures, project construction schedule and project implementation strategy.
 
The technical consultant will submit the detailed feasibility report within three months.
 
The companies that participated in the bidding included Dorsch Consultant of Germany, Tractebel of Belgium, EP Consultant of UK, ILF Consulting Engineers Limited of UK and CBN, John Brown of UK.
