Suzlon appoints Robin Banerjee as CFO

Suzlon Energy, the world's fifth largest wind turbine-maker, today said it has appointed Robin Banerjee as its new chief financial officer (CFO).

His appointment is with immediate effect, a company release said here.

Banerjee comes to the Pune-headquartered firm with a rich international experience across a diverse range of businesses.

He has held senior leadership positions with responsibilities across global strategy, M&A, finance and treasury, amongst others, across various industries such as FMCG, steel, auto components and travel, the release said.

Suzlon Energy's Chief Operating Officer Sumant Sinha said: "Robin Banerjee's broad financial experience and extensive expertise will not only bring tremendous value to the company but will also drive our prime focus on building value for our shareholders."

 

The office of the CFO was previously shared between Kirti Vagadia, head-corporate finance, and Sinha.

The finance responsibilities for the company will now be with Banerjee, who will report to Sinha, the release said.

Vagadia will take over group-level finance responsibilities, it added.
