Wind energy major Suzlon Energy today said it has received an order from UK-based Renerco to supply turbines for a wind farm in Cambridgeshire, England.
"Suzlon Group-subsidiary REpower UK, has signed a contract to supply turbines for Renerco's Cotton Farm wind farm in Cambridgeshire, England," Suzlon informed the BSE today.
The company didn't divulge details about the order amount.
The company would supply eight REpower MM92 machines which have a rated output of 2.05 MW each.
Cotton Farm's wind farm will have a total rated output of 16.4 MW and will generate enough electricity to power the equivalent of nearly 10,000 homes annually, it said.
Construction at cotton farm is due to start in October 2012 and is expected to be completed by February 2013.

"The Cotton Farm's wind farm adds to our growing portfolio with Renerco, and we look forward to working with them again," REpower UK Managing Director Rick Eggleston said.
"We are glad to have had the opportunity to strengthen our relationship with REpower and work with them to implement our challenging construction schedules for Earl's Hall Farm and Cotton Farm's wind farms," Elke Hanel, Head of Project Development Wind Energy Renerco, said.
Since its launch in 2004, REpower UK has delivered 37 onshore wind farms in Scotland, England and Wales and two offshore wind farms.
