Suzlon to hike capacity by 1,500MW, invest Rs 1,500cr

The board of directors of Suzlon Energy, which met today, approved a proposal to establish integrated manufacturing facilities in India.

According to a release issued by Suzlon to the BSE today, the facilities are being planned at strategic locations close to ports for manufacturing of wind turbines with an aggregate capacity of 1,500 MW and vertical integration through foundry, forging and machining units (FFM).

"The total capital investment for the projects would be to the tune of Rs 1,500 crore," the release added.
