Suzuki Motor Corporation has proposed to restructure the board of its Indian car manufacturing subsidiary, Maruti Udyog Ltd, by inducting a second joint managing director.
J Sugimori, who has been proposed to be inducted on the board as joint managing director, will be in charge of finance, human resources, information technology and corporate services.
Suzuki will also seek the resignation of Y Nakamura, joint managing director of Maruti. S Takeuchi will replace Nakamura and will be in charge of production engineering, supply chain and engineering.
Nakamura will return to Suzuki
