Swarovski to open stores in Ludhiana, Chandigarh

As part of its expansion plans, Swarovski of Austria, the leading manufacturer of cut crystal in the world, will open one more store in Chandigarh and Ludhiana each in northern region.
 
Also, the company is planning to open another 16 stores in the country by 2009, taking the tally to 50. Of the total 50, the company would have 25-30 exclusive stores while the rest would be shop-in-shop (sharing premises with other brands) stores.
 
Swarovski India Private Ltd (Consumer Goods Division) Country Manager V Shivkumar said: "India has tremendous opportunity. Each year we are growing at the rate of 50-55 per cent. So in order to keep up the momentum of growth, we are further strengthening our network."
