Swiss, Switzerland's national carrier, will start flights between Delhi and Zurich from November 25 this year. The national capital has been added along with Shanghai as new destinations to the airlines' expanded route network.

According to Swiss officials, the airline had entered into a code-sharing deal with its alliance partner Air Canada for flights between Delhi and Zurich a few weeks ago. Recently, Air Canada decided to discontinue its flights between the two places, and now Swiss is looking to fill that gap with its newly announced services.

The airline, which has its headquarters in Basel, serves 70 destinations across the world from its hub in Zurich and from Basel and Geneva international airports. The carrier has a fleet size of 73 aircraft including Airbus 320s 330s and 340s
