Taj Mansingh hotel to be auctioned after SC rejects Tata group's petition

SC tells India Hotels Company Ltd to vacate the hotel within six months of auction

The Supreme Court on Thursday allowed New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) to E-auction Taj Mansingh hotel, thereby rejecting Tata's plea to stall the auction. Taj Mansingh hotel is presently run by Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL).
The apex court made it clear that if Tata group losses E-auction then within period of six months, Tata group will have to vacate the premises.

Earlier on March 3, the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) told the apex court that it wanted to auction the five-star hotel located in the heart of the national capital.
