Talbros Automotive Components (TACL) today signed an agreement with Nippon Leakless Corporation (NLK), Japan to manufacture gaskets. According to a release issued by TACL to the BSE today, the joint venture will be named Nippon Leakless Talbros. "The agreement was signed by Umesh Talwar, VC & MD of TACL and Shinya Miyamoto, MD of NLK," the release added. The plant is being set up near Manesar in Haryana, and commercial production is expected to start in the first quarter of FY06. "The JV company expects to reach a turnover of Rs 50 crore in the next 3 years," the release said. TACL has been supplying gaskets to subsidiaries/JVs of Honda in India manufacturing two wheelers, cars and power generations products. The new JV has been formed to keep pace with Honda's increasing presence in India and to look at exports. "TACL has been manufacturing non-asbestos based gaskets in technical collaboration with NLK, which is a leading supplier to Honda around the world and has facilities situated in USA, China, Malaysia and Thailand," the release added. TACL has plants in Faridabad, Sohna, (Haryana), Pimpri (Maharashtra), and Chennai (Tamil Nadu). The company has technical agreements with Federal Mogul Sealing Systems (Slough), UK, Nippon Leakless Corporation (NLK), Japan & Ishikawa Gasket Company, Japan. |
