Professional training company TalentSprint has roped in Sreekanth Lapala to head its technology operations as well as its newly-created subsidiary TenXLabs that specialises in e-learning programmes optimised to client needs through ‘frugal engineering’.
TalentSprint offers skill development and employability training for IT and BFSI sectors, while TenXLabs offers e-learning modules designed for emerging markets in developmental sectors such as education, healthcare and financial inclusion, according to a company release.
Santanu Paul, CEO and managing director, TalentSprint, said the new appointment would give it the necessary edge to deliver differentiated solutions to its clients.
Sreekanth, who was previously head of Chennai Advanced Technology Centre of Virtusa Corp, said the frugal engineering approach requires lean cross-functional teams by eliminating all redundancies and an early focus on outcomes. It calls for innovation not just in technology and processes but in organisation.
The company plans to leverage the director to create a technology platform and digital content library for remote learning, to meet its goal of training 500,000 professionals by 2020.
