Talisma unit, Virtual Source merge to form B2K

 B2K sets out with a high-profile chairman and CEO, Vivek Kulkarni, who was till recently the IT secretary of Karnataka.

 B2K will operate in the BPO space and provide contact center services and development, help desk and application support.

 This it will seek to do with the help of business analytics. Delivery with be through e-mail, phone and chat mode.

 The company starts off with four founding partners: Madhukar Angur, a distinguished management professor at the University of Michigan and an authority on CRM, becomes president (east US), Probir Bose who was president and CEO of Virtual Source becomes president (west US), Lathika Pai who was COO of Virtual Source becomes COO and Kulkarni.

 The company has heavyweight financial backers. Oak Investment Partners, UTI Venture Funds and Dhanalakshmi Bank have between themselves provided $ 4.1 million of first round funding.

 No cash has gone out as a result of the two acquisitions - Virtual Source and Talisma
