Leading national jeweller Tanishq, which posted a turnover of Rs 203 crore last year, is expecting a 45 per cent growth this year.

Tanishq's chief operating officer (COO) Jacob Kurien, who was in the city to launch the 'Tanishq Utsav', said: "Tanishq has exceeded the industry growth of 3-4 per cent by far." The eastern region contributes around 25 per cent to the company's turnover.

Utsav is a part of anniversary celebrations of the Tanishq Kankurgachi showroom in Kolkata. The 10-day long fiesta will sport all collections--Aria, Hoopla and Diva. In the regular jewellery range, it will have the lightweight jewellery in 22kt gold, 'Tanishq Lightweight'.

Kurien said the Utsav is the outcome of the consumer study done by the company which brought to light consumers' preferences and expectations. "The survey revealed that people were more anxious about diamonds and coloured stones and hence we will have consultations with gemologists at our showroom," he said.

Also present during the occasion will be special fashion accessory counsellors to advise women on how to match their fashion accessories with their attire.

Tanishq has 50 exclusive boutiques in 39 cities. The range starts from Rs 600 and has special customised high value sets at the top end. Tanishq offers exchange for any jewellery and also offers a savings scheme "Golden Harvest".
