Tanishq sees 60% rise in turnover in H1

Tanishq, a division of Titan Industries, is expecting a 60% increase in turnover in the first six months of the current fiscal, compared with the same period last year.

The first quarter turnover of the company was Rs 450 crore. Over the last two-three years it is growing at about 40% nationally. From the eastern part of the country the growth was about 44%.

The turnover of Titan last fiscal was Rs 2,200 crore, and for Tanishq it was Rs 1,300 crore.

This festive season the company expects 50 -100% increase in sales.

Tanishq at present has 14 stores across India, 3 of them in Kolkata.

By the end of this month, two more stores are likely to come up in Patna and Guwahati. In the next 6-8 months two more stores are likely to come up in Haldia and Malda regions of West Bengal.
