Tata Chemicals Q2 net declines 9% to Rs 143cr

Tata Chemicals has recorded a 9.4% erosion in net profit at Rs 142.55 crore for the quarter ended September 2007 when compared with Rs 157.65 crore for the same period last year.

Total income increased from Rs 1194.20 crore for the second quarter of the last fiscal to Rs 1299.46 crore for the quarter ended September 2007.

The group posted a profit of Rs 208.22 crore for the second quarter as compared to Rs 185.53 crore in the comparable quarter last year. Total income increased from Rs 1662.53 crore to Rs 1777.69 crore.
