Tata Coffee Q2 net dips 29% to Rs 8.9 cr

Tata Coffee today reported a 28.81 per cent drop in its consolidated net profit at Rs 8.92 crore for the second quarter ended September 30.

The firm had a net profit of Rs 12.53 crore in the second quarter last fiscal, Tata Coffee said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The consolidated total income, however, rose to Rs 317.36 crore during the September quarter from Rs 279.18 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.

On standalone basis, Tata Coffee posted a 8.26 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 6.99 crore for the quarter ended September 30. The company had a net profit of Rs 7.62 crore in the year ago period.

 

The standalone total income dropped to Rs 87.44 crore during the quarter under review from Rs 102.05 crore in the same period previous fiscal.

Shares of Tata Coffee were trading at Rs 357, down 1.80 per cent over previous close on the BSE.
