Product design firm Tata Elxsi today reported a 12.52 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit at Rs 12.30 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2008, as compared to Rs 14.06 crore in the corresponding period last year.
The income from operations rose 10.65 per cent to Rs 107.10 crore during the quarter under review, from Rs 96.79 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.
On a standalone basis, the company reported a 13.80 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 12.12 crore for the December quarter ended 2008.
During the nine months ended December 2008, Tata Elxsi reported a marginal dip in its consolidated net profit at Rs 35.03 crore. The total income for the nine-month period stood at Rs 314.31 crore at the end of December 2008.
Tata Elxsi was trading at Rs 89.25, up nearly one per cent on the BSE.
