Tata Motors cuts prices by up to Rs 60,000

Tata Motors has effected a price cut across its range of passenger cars, utility vehicles and commercial vehicles today. This price reduction comes in the wake of the 4 per cent cut on Cenvat recently announced by the government.

Tata Indica and Indigo models, depending on the variants, will now be cheaper by Rs 12,000-Rs 23,000. Prices of Tata Safari and Sumo, model wise, will be lowered by Rs 16,000-Rs 36,000. Tata Motor's range of light commercial vehicles (LCVs) like Ace, Winger and Magic will be cheaper by Rs 17,000-Rs 23,000. And the medium and heavy commercial vehicles (M&HCV) of the company will now enjoy a price discount ranging between Rs 30,000 and Rs 60,000.
