Tata Motors Dec sales up 11%

Tata Motors today reported a 11.4% increase in vehicle sales, including exports, at 35,598 units in December 2005 as against 31,951 units in December 2004.

In the passenger vehicle segment, Tata Motors reported a 35.4% increase in domestic sales at 13,037 units. While the company sold 6,977 units of Indica, Indigo sales stood at 2,753 units, an official release said today.

Sumo and Safari sales stood at 3,307 units. Cumulative sales of passenger vehicles in the domestic market (April-December 2005) totalled 1,27,510 units, the release said.

Sales of commercial vehicles in the domestic market increased 1.4% to 18,730 units in December 2005 as compared to 18,467 vehicles sold in December 2004.
