Tata Motors FY06 vehicle sales up 14%

Tata Motors today reported a 13.7% increase in total vehicle sales at 4,54,345 units (including exports) in FY06 when compared with 3,99,566 vehicles sold in the last fiscal.

Commercial vehicles sales increased to 2,14,950 units from 1,89,994 units in FY05. While sales of M&HCVs stood at 1,28,714 units, the company sold 86,236 LCVs in FY06.

Passenger car sales increased 5.5% to 1,88,856 units in FY06.

Exports totalled 50,539 units in the reporting fiscal as against 30,496 units in FY05, an increase of 65.7%, the release added.
