Tata Motors today reported a 25.57% increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 2,169.99 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007 when compared with Rs 1,728.09 crore in FY06. According to a release issued to the BSE today, total income moved up to Rs 32,579.59 crore from Rs 24,012.97 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006. The group posted a net profit of Rs 649.81 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 as against Rs 522.60 crore in Q4FY06. Total income increased to Rs 9,790.09 crore from Rs 7,866.06 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006. The company, on a stand-alone basis, posted a net profit of Rs 576.72 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 as against Rs 458.11 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006. Total income increased from Rs 6,874.07 crore to Rs 8,327.44 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2007. The company posted a profit after tax of Rs 1,913.46 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007 as against Rs 1,528.88 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006. Total income increased from Rs 20,942.57 crore to Rs 27,780.43 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007. The board has recommended a dividend of 150% (Rs 15 per share) on 38,53,81,536 ordinary shares and any further shares that may be allotted by the company on conversion of notes before book closure. |
