Tata Motors global sales rise 11% in March

Tata Motors today reported a 11% rise in global sales at 1,18,750 units in March, including that of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) vehicles.

The company had sold 1,06,595 units in March 2015, Tata Motors said in a regulatory filing.

In the passenger vehicles category, global sales stood at 73,515 units last month as against 68,109 units in March 2015, up 8%.

Sales of luxury brand Jaguar Land Rover rose 22% to 64,579 units last month as compared to 52,736 units in March 2015.

The company's sales of commercial vehicles in March was up by 18% to 45,235 units from 38,486 units a year ago.
