Tata Motors launched Tata Sumo Gold, its redesigned sports utility vehicle (SUV), here on on Wednesday. The new vehicle is available in four variants along with a warranty of three years or 100,000 km, whichever is earlier.
According to Utility Vehicles Product Group head Ashesh Dhar, the response to the new vehicle is good and the sales of the Sumo had more than trebled from 1,100 to 3,300 units a month from September last year when it was launched in Maharashtra, West Bengal, UP and the National Capital Region. It now intends to launch the vehicle pan India. The price starts from Rs 5.38 lakh (ex-showroom, Hyderabad).
