Tata Motors Ltd has signed a memorandum of understanding with Shanghai-based Brilliance China Automotive Holdings Ltd to manufacture or sell cars in that country through a possible joint venture, a senior Tata official said Monday. |
The MoU was signed in July, he said. "We have signed an MoU with Brilliance China. It is just a letter of intent. We are discussing all sorts of possibilities""manufacturing or marketing," Pravin Kadle, Tata Motors' executive director-finance and corporate affairs, said. |
He said a feasibility study was on to look into the possibility of a joint venture with Brilliance China for the fast-growing Chinese market. |
"I don't see the feasibility study being completed before March next year," said Kadle. |
