Tata Motors Q2 consolidated net up 36%

Tata Motors today reported consolidated revenue (net of excise) at Rs 7,702.66 crore - an increase of 42% as against Rs 5,428.88 crore in Q2FY06.

According to an official release issued today, consolidated net profit stood at Rs 536.44 crore as compared to Rs  393.31 crore for the previous-year period, an increase of 36%.

The company's revenue on a stand alone basis (net of excise) was Rs 6,571.79 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006, an increase of 37%, compared to Rs 4,788.18 crore in the corresponding period of 2005-06. Net profit was Rs 441.72 crore, an increase of 31%, as against Rs 337.87 crore for the corresponding period.
