Tata Motors today reported 18.80% increase in total vehicle sales during February to 92,119 units.
The company had sold 77,543 units in the same month last year, Tata Motors said in a statement.
The total passenger vehicle sales in the domestic market stood at 34,832 units in February, up 9.1% from 31,909 units in the same month last year.
Sales of the company's Nano small car stood at 9,217 units during the month compared to 8,262 units in the year-ago period, translating into an increase of 11.56%.
The 'Indica' range reported sales of 10,424 units as against 10,044 units in the year-ago period, up 3.78%, Tata Motors said.
However, the 'Indigo' family recorded sales of 8,595 units, down 4.1% from 8,966 units in the same month last year.
Sales of the 'Sumo', 'Safari' and 'Aria' rose by 42.2% to 6,596 units compared to 4,637 units in the corresponding period last year.
In the commercial vehicles segment, the company sold 51,827 units in the domestic market during the month under review compared to 41,130 units in the corresponding period last year, an increase of 26%.
Light commercial vehicle sales during the month amounted to 32,540 units, a growth of 38.48% over 23,498 units in the same month last year. Medium and heavy commercial vehicle sales stood at 19,332 units, a growth of 9.64% from 17,632 units in February, 2011.
The company's exports increased by 20.2% to 5,415 units last month from 4,504 units in the same month last year, it added.
