Tata Motors today said that it plans to launch indigenously-developed electric Indica in Norway later this year.
The electric Indica would be launched in the later-half of this year in Norway, Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata told editors after announcing the booking date for their small car, Nano.
When asked whether this electric Indica would be launched in other European countries too, Tata said the problem with electric cars is that of limited availability of lithium batteries.
"This is a limiting factor," Tata said, adding that the availability of this electric car would for now be limited to Norway only.
