Tata Power generates over 4,682 MUs of electricity in FY13

Company produced 18,317 million units of power collectively from all its power plants in 2011-12

Tata Power, country's largest private power utility, today said it generated over 34,682 MUs of electricity from its plants in the last financial year (2012-13).

The company had produced 18,317 million units of power collectively from all its power plants in 2011-12, Tata Power said in a statement.

Tata Power's current installed power capacity stands at 8,521 MW from various fuel sources.

0.001 million units of power is equivalent to 1 MW.

The company's Mundra ultra mega power plant has contributed significantly to the increase in generation capacity, with 12,401 MUs.

"Tata Power has transcended previous benchmarks by crossing over 34,682 MUs of generation power. It marks a significant milestone in the history of the Company by setting an example for the Indian power sector," Anil Sardana, Managing Director, Tata Power said in the statement.
