According to a release issued by Tata Power to the BSE today, total income increased 6.21% to Rs 1,103.67 crore in Q2FY06 as against Rs 1,039.12 crore in Q2FY05.
"The second quarter result shows sustained volume growth on the back of increased demand in the licence area. Tata Power will increase generating capacity at its recently commissioned unit at Jojobera, and is also considering several proposals in Maharashtra and Jharkhand including a joint venture with DVC," A J Engineer, managing director of Tata Power, said.
