Net profit at Tata Power remained stagnant in the last quarter of 2001-02 at Rs 67.86 crore for the quarter ended-March 31, 2002 against Rs 67.39 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2001.
Net sales increased by 18.15 per cent to Rs 835.68 crore from Rs 702.27 crore. Other income increased to Rs 70.01 crore from Rs 56.84 crore. Depreciation costs rose by 40 per cent o Rs 71.48 crore from Rs 51.06 crore.
The net profit for the year ended March 31, 2002 rose by 30.44 per cent to Rs 508.23 crore from Rs 389.60 crore for the year ended March 31, 2001.
