Tata Power’s installed capacity on Thursday rose to 6,099 Mw, after its second unit at the Mundra ultra mega power project in Gujarat was synchronised with the grid.
Anil Sardana, managing director of Tata Power, said, “With this, Tata Power’s gross generation has crossed 6,000 Mw, reinforcing its position as the largest integrated power company in India.” Tata Power’s total thermal power generation capacity stands at 5,247 Mw, while the generation capacity through clean sources such as hydro, wind and solar power stands at 852 Mw.
