Failing to receive the Sun Group's channels on its DTH platform, Tata-Sky has sent a formal communication to Kalanidhi Maran-controlled company, seeking its feed.

"We had been talking to them (Sun Group) for a long time. However, as we have failed to receive the channels so far, we have sent a formal written communication to them," Vikram Kaushik, MD & CEO, of Tata Sky said.

Tata Sky "has a right" to receive the Sun Group's channels as they are available on Doordarshan's DTH platform as well as able networks, Kaushik said.

Meanwhile, Sun TV too has received government clearance to start its own DTH operations and is currently in the process of finalising its rollout plans.
