Tata Sky to provide feast of movie classics

Palador Pictures, the only Indian firm to have bought legal rights for over a thousand world cinema titles, has announced a tie-up with Tata Sky to make American and European movies available on the pay-per-view showcase channel of the direct-to-home service provider.

The movies span different genres, and showcases works of acclaimed filmmakers like Akira Kurosawa, Jim Jarmusch, Oxide Pang Chun & Danny Pang, Wong-Kar Wai and the likes.

Tata Sky will regularly replace the movies with a new set from the Palador libraries.

Palador Pictures has invested over $4 million (Rs 16 crore) to acquire legal rights to over 900 classic titles in the world cinema category.
