Tata Steel, the country's largest private steel producer, today said it has rescheduled its board meeting for tomorrow to discuss the company's consolidated financial results.

"The board meeting has been rescheduled on December 2, to take on record the consolidated financial results of the company for the quarter and half-year ended September 30, 2008," Tata Steel said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The board was due to meet at the terror-struck Taj Mahal Hotel here on November 28 to discuss the financial results of the second quarter and six months ended September 30, 2008.

Earlier today, in an announcement to the BSE, the steel maker had said, "...Due to the unprecedented situation in Mumbai on that date (November 28), the above board meeting could not be held."

Last week's terror attacks in the financial capital of the country have left nearly 200 dead and about 300 injured.

Shares of the company closed at Rs 153.50 up 1.69 per cent on the BSE.
