Tata Steel will celebrate the 156th birth anniversary of its founder Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata, on March 3, with 2004 also being his death centenary as well as the birth centenaries of the two other stalwarts, Naval H Tata and J R D Tata. |
Tata Steel has got the town of Jamshedpur decorated, with an exhibition to mark the triple centenaries at the Jubilee Park. " Jubilee Park would be lit up and special lighting arrangements have been made as the day is such a special one," said Tata Steel corporate communications head Sanjay Choudhry. |
The company will hold programmes throughout the year. There would be some permanent gifts from Tata Steel to the people of Jamshedpur, added Choudhry. |
On Founder's Day, laser light shows of one hour each will be held in the city. Tata Sons chairman Ratan N Tata would be flagging off the celebrations at Jubilee Park on March 3. |
The exhibition there would highlight the life and times of the luminaries of the Tata group. The exhibition and lighting would continue till March 7. |
